Glenn A. Weitzman, M.D.
Fertility Specialist
Dr. Weitzman is Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and subspecialty certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
He received his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. Upon graduation, he was presented with the Laurel and Clarence H. Koenneckei Award for the most promise in the surgical field of gynecology.
He completed his internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Weitzman remained at Baylor to complete a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility where he received extensive training in microsurgery, pelvic reparative surgery and the assisted reproductive technologies including IVF. In 1991, he traveled to Kiel, Germany to study with one of the “fathers” of operative laparoscopy, Dr. Kurt Semm.
Prior to joining the Nashville Fertility Center in 1995, Dr. Weitzman served as Director of the Assisted Reproductive Technology Program and Associate Professor at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences located in Little Rock, Arkansas. There, his research interests centered around environmental toxins and their effects on reproduction.
At the University, Dr. Weitzman trained residents in the specialty and was recognized by medical students with the Red Sash Award for faculty with most significant input into their medical education. He also taught physician courses in infertility and the surgical use of CO2 and Nd:YAG lasers.

Dr. Weitzman has published several papers in the most respected journals focusing on human reproduction, and he has presented papers at national and international conferences. Along with his three associates, Dr. Weitzman was recently selected by his physician peers as one of the best physicians in Nashville. As the father of three children, Dr, Weitzman is keenly sensitive to the emotional needs of those wishing to share in the joys of parenthood.
